Join the Konnarock Trail Crew from Thursday, May 11, at 5 p.m. until Tuesday, May 16, at 8 p.m. to complete essential trail maintenance on the Appalachian Trail. Tools and training provided!

Enjoy several days of rehabbing the Trail and making new friends. Crew 2 will spend Session 2 stabilizing a steep, rocky portion of the A.T. in Virginia’s scenic James River Gorge, near Rocky Row. The crew will be installing rock structures, such as steps and waterbars, and reshaping the existing tread to mitigate erosion. This work improving drainages helps to create a sustainable Trail that can be enjoyed by future generations and improves the hiker’s experience as they travel the long climb to the sweeping views from Rocky Row. This project requires strenuous hiking each day to access the work site.

Gear and tools, meals, and training will be provided!
